Wedding photography tips

1.Hire a pro. If you want the very best pictures, then take the time and really investigate the photos taken by different photographers. Different photographers have different styles and visions of what a picture will look like before it is even taken. Look at the photographer's portfolio for multiple weddings. You should be able to get a feel of what type of photos you can expect at your own wedding and reception. Be sure to look at an entire wedding, not just a few pictures from a hodge podge of weddings. 2. Meet candidates whose portfolios you liked. It's important to set a meeting to make sure you click. Don't waste your time if you don't love their work. Make sure you have great relationship with your photographer. Your photographer is going to be everywhere you are from the morning of your wedding day until the end of the night, so make sure you enjoy being around each other, If there's any awkwardness or uneasiness, there's no way your photographer will be able to produce the images you've seen in their portfolio for you, You'll be seeing your photographer after the wedding too, so be sure you enjoy working together, and that they're easy to get in touch with. 3. Ask for references. Narrowed it down to someone you like? Ask for three references. Call and find out if the past customers are happy with the work the photographer did leading up to, during and after the wedding. You can also do a quick Google search to see if anyone has any major complaints with your potential hire.

WHY!!!

After many years of work in the photographic industry their are still some things that boggle my mind, but the biggest of them all is, why would you have a less the quailified photographer for anything that you care so much about? I think it is incredibly sad when you see someone invest so much into a wedding for example, but instead of investing into the memories the photos will provide, they hire a family friend who got a camera 2 years ago for Christmas and they are now a photographer. And now with the extra money you saved you can afford that extra keg during the reception! But once they see the photos the friend provides, they have no quality images , and more than likely no friend either.
